Who invented the war tank?

Did they think it would place nice

By not invading peaceful nations

Bringing world peace thru mere threat

Saving lives before they were taken

Not machine gunning unarmed civilians

Nor squashing scared enemy soldiers

Or destroying opposing Main Battle Tanks

Did the tank designers think of any of this?

Before unleashing their lethal weapons of war

Now owned by all nations ready for battle

With willing crews ready to kill and maim

At a moment’s notice to protect what?
