Hill Death
Death ruled this pretty little hill
The death of soldiers in battle
The death of quarry and mine workers
The death of a pilot in a crash
The death of poor murder victims
The death of inhabitants by landslide
The death of a hiker by a fall
The death of lover by a jealous ex
The death of…
You get the idea
Will you be next?
On the pretty peak
Radon
Random varied letters written on card, meaningless?
What do they mean?
A code for secret agents
Or a more mundane spare parts inventory
There’s something both random and cool about it
I could’ve written the letters but I didn’t
I wonder who did and why?
If this cards was alone
The only thing saying we were ever here
Would it be priceless without value?
A bit of card with random letters on it
The only thing left from a vanished race and world
If aliens found it what would they think?
Throw it in the bin or worship it like a false God…
Glory Be Down
What to write?
That I wish I’d done it before?
Imagine if I’d started in the 80s
How could it would’ve been
Nick the 80s writer in all ways
Published in printed zines
Stapled together and lazily printed
Old skool joy to see and behold
But it was the nerdy 90s when it hit
My writing urge and success
I’m grateful to that but do wonder
How it’d be if I did it a decade before
I’d be ten years more awesome!
The anti social non conformist writer
