Shit in Power

Two decades ago I read a shocking thing

Ruling elite will start a war

The reason is simple in their eyes:

Population control

Culling us all in a huge global war

The time is close

Syria is in flames and will ignite it

Nationalism is on the rise

Pride will rise like missiles

It won't stop till we're dead

While the 3rd world war rages the rats hide

Huddled together like pieces of shit

As billions is die in nuclear fire

The rats will inherit only ashes

The countdown hits 0…

Fiddled(by Rose Huy Woolket)

Years had passed

Our children had grown

Our love had passed

Our hate had grown

New had become old

Good times became tarnished

Our love had become old

Our togetherness vanished

You fiddled and loosened your golden ring

You'd forgotten our dreams, they'd faded

Our love gone like your wedding ring

Our togetherness now seemed jaded

Years of music played together

Dreams built for a bright future

Our reality, we're nothing together

Our times apart with no future

My ring I'd put aside

Our times long gone

Miss you by my side

All our children gone

You fiddled with a ring

You fiddled with my heart

Love was lost like your ring

Lost love lives deep in my heart

Years might be lost

Love goes on

Your golden ring lost

Love continues on

Blame (by Dorothy Fryman)

You can blame the Labour party

For the state the country's in

You can blame disaffected youth

Say they don’tcare a pin

You can blame asylum seekers

Who come from near and far

But it's Thatcherism’s Legacy

And we the victims are

You can blame the greedy bankers

For our economic state

With housing prices falling

At a most alarming rate

Put the blame on global warming

If you're feeling below par

But it’sThatcherism’s Legacy

And we the victims are

You can blame those wealthy pensioners

Conserving all their dough

And all those lazy fellows

Who to work don't want to go

And those discontented students

Who do nothing but protest

But it's Thatcherism's Legacy

For she thought that that was best

You can blame the railway unions

Say they haven't any brains

You can fume there on the platform

When you find there are no trains

And if the roads were better

Then we all would go by car

But it's Thatcherism's Legacy

And we the victims are

You can blame the coalition

You can blame the Tories too

You can blame the Thatcher Legacy

And what it's done to you

But the only way to solve it all

Is for people to unite

Use the Ballot Boxes power

AND EDUCATE AND FIGHT
